Christine Wu, 15, a sophomore at Troy High School, began playing the piano at age five. She studies with Logan Skelton from the University of Michigan and Mary Siciliano.

Christine has won many competitions, most recently First Place 2008 Senior Division of the Schoolcraft College Piano Competition. She placed First in the 2007 Junior Division of the Michigan Music Teachers Association (MMTA) Piano Solo Competition and Second Place in the 2006 MMTA Concerto Competition, Junior Division. She also won First Place in the 2007 Tuesday Musicale Scholarship Competition, the Metropolitan Detroit Musicians League, Livonia Piano Teachers Forum, and Oakland Piano Teachers Forum piano competitions.

Also a violinist, Christine performs in the Troy High Symphony Orchestra and has been an active member of the Tuesday Musicale Student League of Detroit since 2005.
